Review sales & marketing practices across the Warm Welcome Hotels group and present recommendations to the board.
Develop & implement a low-cost, low-impact sales tracking and reporting system across the group.
Build a new responsive website for Two Bridges Hotel and integrate Guestline’s Rezlynx booking system, including the mobile booking module.
Sales Attribution: We developed and implemented a cloud-based sales tracking and reporting system based on Google Sheets. This enabled us to roll-out a very simple version of the system initially in order to reduce the impact on staff, who had no sales reporting experience at all. As the staff grew familiar with the process we were able to gradually add additional fields over a period of weeks. A major advantage of Google Sheets is that management can monitor the data-entry by individuals in real-time. This helped enormously in both training and performance reporting.
Two Bridges Website: We built a mobile-responsive website designed to show off the stunning images of Dartmoor, Four-poster beds and superb food. We built the site on the WordPress platform to ensure it would be as easy as possible for the internal marketing staff to maintain and update regularly. WWH had made a significant investment in Guestline’s property management system, so we ensured the website fully integrated the availability and booking modules, including support for mobile booking.
GOPPAR: We helped WWH improve their GOPPAR (gross operating profit per available room) by advising that by providing a direct link to the website on TripAdvisor and implementing TripConnect, customers would be encouraged to book directly with the hotel and therefore reduce third-party commissions significantly. For example, Booking.com charges a commission of 15-20% per booking.
